The theme for this week is God’s dreams for Hanover and area. Have you ever wondered what it is that God desires, what it is He dreams for this community? What is God’s ideal picture of our community? While, this prayer guide is going to make some suggestions for some of the answers to those questions – the main thrust of this week is a time of spiritual discovery. A discovery of what God is already doing in our city. A discovery of what God is wanting to do with each one of us and corporately as His church in realizing His dreams. A discovery of what He has planned in heaven that He wants us to pray into being here on earth.

As you go through this week be open to what the Holy Spirit may whisper in your heart about God’s dreams for Hanover and how you fit into those dreams He has. May His dreams become your dreams!

Jeremiah 29:10-14

Think about it…

In this scripture for today God is speaking through the prophet Jeremiah to reassure the people of Israel who are in exile in Babylon that he won’t forget them and that he has great dreams for their future that will come to pass. I believe the dreams that God shared with Israel through Jeremiah thousands of years ago are not far off the dreams he has for our community today. What do you think?

Prayer Points:

• Pray that as we go through this week that the Holy Spirit will give us insight into specific dreams that God has for our community.

Take Action!

Start a “dream journal”. This could be a book of lined pages for you to write on, a file you save on your computer, or an online journal. Any way you do it the purpose is to record what you believe the Holy Spirit speaks to you about dreams God has for the community and dreams that you believe God is giving you for His plan and purpose in your life.

Use the journal for recording thoughts, prayers, doodling pictures, things you hear that significantly impact you, plans…etc. 

For Parents…

Ask your children what they think are some of the big things our town has to take care of. Ask them if they can think of any big problems in our community.

Make a list together and you just might be surprised with what your kids come up with…take some time to pray over that list together as a family.
