Here’s a good background article on Zimbabwe by the CBC that provides a glimpse into the country our team is headed. Sounds “safe”! However, we know that where God leads us, he will provide and protect.

It should be made clear that our team is going on a humanitarian mission and is not participating in any political activity. We are going simply to assist the Cooledge’s and the work of the Village of Hope which is a mission to help children orphaned by AIDS. Our activity in Zimbabwe will be limited to working on projects related to the village - namely construction and possibly food distribution among other things. Since we really don’t represent any threat to Mugabe’s position as the head of Zimbabwe government we really don’t expect any trouble. Of course, we still do appreciate any prayer!
