Moving on…
This past Sunday Pastor Nancy announced her resignation as our Associate Pastor. We are saddened to see her go but are trusting that God is leading her to the place where He wants her to serve.
Pastor Nancy served HPC faithfully for 4 years and she will be greatly missed!
An excerpt from her address to the congregation:
Life is never a static thing, we move from experience to experience as the Lord directs. Change is seldom easy for any of us, however if our desire is to serve the Lord wherever and whenever, we must be ready to change and move as He directs. Periodically He brings us to a crossroads in our life and we have to make a choice as to which way we will go. Will we choose our own way, or His way?
I presently find myself at such a crossroad in my life and have to make that choice. Will I go my way, or God’s way? Sometimes the way is not absolutely clear and, just as Abram did when God told him to leave Ur and go to a place that He would show him, we have to step out in faith, believing that God will lead, trusting in our all powerful and all knowing God.
Such a step is presently before me and I am choosing to go the way I believe the Lord is leading me. Therefore I have resigned from my position of Associate Pastor at HPC and am moving on to whatever the Lord has planned for me. This has not been an easy decision, nor one that has been lightly made. I have come to love each one of you dearly and no matter where I go a part of my heart will always remain with you folks…
We are going to be having a farewell fellowship for Pastor Nancy on Monday May 28th at 6pm at HPC. Please come and join us as we say farewell to our much beloved pastor!
