For those of you following along with the 50 Days of Prayer and Fasting online you have probably noticed that I haven’t contributed my response to the daily devotional for the last two days. I have been doing the devotionals, I just haven’t had time to write up an online post. It’s been a very busy weekend and some things get dropped from the to-do list as a result.

Anyway, I’m back though - and writing my reflections based on today’s devotional.

To those of you who saw the title to this post and rubbed your hands together with glee in anticipation of finding a list of names and numbers to pad your own contact list I’m sorry to disappoint you, this post won’t contain my actual address book. Even though I have the contact information for all the world leaders and about 50 different celebrities I really can’t divulge that in a public forum (do you really think that’s in my address book?).

I thought I would write down some groups of people I come in contact with in my life though. It’s a good exercise to help me remember all the contacts in my life and something I can refer to when I pray for the people in these groups. If you read this list and recognize a group that you have contact with as well then know that I am, will be, or have prayed for you at some point

Church Group
This is probably one of the more obvious contacts I have. As a Pastor I have a weekly and regular contact with the people who attend Hanover Pentecostal Church.

Kid’s School
My children’s teachers, the school staff. Some of these people I have more contact with then others - but it’s still a group of people I interact with on some level.

My Family
Goes without saying. Both “the ethier6buzz crew” and me and my wife’s extended family.

My Friends
This is one group of contacts that really overlaps with so many other groups. However, there are some friends in this group that I don’t get to see as often as I’d like (due to distance) that aren’t in any other groups.

My kids’ friends and their parents
Yet another group that I may not have daily interaction with, but nevertheless they are contacts.

Business Contacts
In the course of the year there are many people that I interact with as a course of doing business (car repair, groceries, gas, insurance, real-estate…etc.)

Other Pastors
Both those in my community and those in the PAOC (more frequent contact with pastors in the Western Ontario District of the PAOC).

Online Folks
Some of you may not know, but I help administer a site called the “Naritus Underground” which is an online gaming community. I don’t spend a lot of time on it but it was started by a friend that I made when I used to play an online game called “Star Wars Galaxies”. I’ve made some pretty “interesting” friends through helping to manage this site and have had an opportunity to have many interesting spiritual conversations with members of that site. Most people frequenting that site are aware that I am a pastor.

I also maintain a personal blog called “UnfoldingNeurons.com” and a site for my sermons called, “UnashamedSermons.com“. I have had interactions with many people as a result of my online presence.

That’s pretty much all the major groups of folks I have contact with that I can think of. What about you folks, have you made such a list at all? Were there any surprises?
