Yesterday was about the life transformation that God dreams for every single one of us. As more and more people embrace the abundant life that Christ offers then it becomes contagious. Life Transformation (Week 7/Day 48 [05/26/2007])
If there’s one thing that is clear about Jesus’ mission in His first coming it is that He didn’t just come to save us from hell. Over and over again He taught that He came to give life. The reality is that without God a person is a “dead-man” walking. Such a person may be “existing”, but their existence is just as limited and confined in an eternal sense as that of a person serving time on “death row” awaiting the death penalty.

Gaining Focus (Week 7/Day 47 [05/25/2007])
I believe yet another dream God has is that we would align our plans with His plans and that we would share the same priorities that He has. There are many decisions, many pulls, many distractions that we face every day. It takes effort to think through each path before us and choose the path that we believe God wants us to take. The choice gets easier the closer we get to God and the more we obey Him when we know what His desire is.

Another big dream I believe God has is that His people will work together with each other and with Him doing His work. It is awe inspiring to think that the Almighty Creator of the Universe would want to have man partner with Him in the outworking of His plan! God has chosen to realize His dreams for our community through His people in this community!

That None Would Perish… (Week 7/Day 45 [05/23/2007]
Probably one of the no-brainers when it comes to thinking about what God desires for our community is that people would come to Him and receive salvation - that the lost would be found. Probably the biggest hurdle to that dream being realized is that most people in our affluent society don’t even think they need God. A repeated focus of prayer throughout this 50 Days of Prayer and Fasting is for the salvation of unbelievers - that those who don’t know God would turn to Him. Again, if you’ve been following the local news in our area you would be aware of the Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment our community has been undergoing as it gathers information regarding the usage of the town’s parks and recreation facilities in preparing a plan for future building and expansion (i.e. Old James A. Magee building and the new arena complex in the works). Childcare (Week 6/Day 40 [05/18/2007])
If you’ve been following the local news from the beginning of the year you will have noticed that one of the “hotspots” in our community has been the lack of daycare facilities for children. While it appears that due to the efforts of our town council there will be a new daycare facility open up at the former James A. Magee school – it is still something that will require ongoing funding year after year if it is to remain in operation.
