We believe that one of the markers of true followers of Christ is that they belong to a church family and they are involved in Kingdom work. There is nothing more rewarding than realizing God wants you to contribute to the advancement of His Kingdom and the spread of the gospel of Christ. It doesn’t mean that it’s easy, painless, or even fun at times - but nothing of any significance comes without cost. Yes, involvement requires varying time commitments and sometimes financial sacrifice as well but we can confidently say that you will be blessed as you serve. The blessing comes from doing what Christ asks you to do, working together with others sharing the same cause for reaching the lost, being a part of something bigger than yourself, and seeing the resulting changed lives as a result of your willingness to serve.
At HPC we intentionally work towards involving/releasing every member in some aspect of ministry (either inside or outside the church). We believe that scripture explicitly teaches that the church is best described as a body - with Christ as it’s head. That means that every single person in the church is a “part” in the body.
